I just started this blog, and honestly I haven’t really told anyone about it yet. I’m pretty much relying on the link on my website to drive heards of interested readers. I’ve become an avid reader of the articles on alistapart.com and I thought it only necessary to give them credit well deserved. If you work on anything remotely related to web design you’ll find the ideas and insights there useful and thought provoking. In fact, I feel guilty writing such a small post with no detail on how and why. So check it out for yourself.

Here it goes, here it goes again

Grab your tickets and your best attire because it’s the world premiere of my blog and hopefully my next successful adventure. Ok so maybe it’s nothing to write home about, but I’m excited. It’s true, I spent a brief stint a few years back on ‘blogger’ but I only posted a few times - mainly to quiet the complaints of my friends. This time though, I’m approaching things on a more professional level. This isn’t just about sharing my thoughts on the newest gizmo or telling everyone about what happened to me over the weekend. Ya, I’m sure there will be a lot of that, but my main goal is to learn how to integrate wordpress into my work as a designer. It seems as though a lot of the people whose work I respect the most are huge wordpress supporters. So there must be something here right?

So I’m walking in a novice without a clue about any of the code, features, or anything. In fact I’ve only been a member for an hour or so. I get the feeling it’s not going to be as easy as it looks either. I’m assuming I’m going to have to gain some more basic knowledge about other a lot of other things before I can really master how to put them all together and have an external blog on kurtcruse.com. But, I’m going in with high hopes.

Any tips or advice would greatly be appreciated.
